Employers from a wide range of industries are still hiring on Handshake for various job/internship opportunities! In our May 2020 findings, we saw top postings within the industries of insurance, government, and social assistance. Additionally, the top job functionalities posted in May ranged from marketing to advertising, media & PR to community & social services, among more. The top employers who posted to NYU on Handshake in May included Graham-Windham, Ignite Mental Health, and Lee, Nolan & Koroghlian, LLC (Mass Mutual Financial Group), along with a few other organizations.
Now taking a look at June 2020, there were about 1,800 unique postings created this past month, totaling 3,283 overall approved postings for NYU students and alumni. Both indicate a sharp increase from May 2020, where there were about 1,500 unique postings created and 2,936 approved postings. When compared to our May 2020 Handshake postings, the only organization that remained at the top of our total postings was BASIS Charter Schools. Additionally, Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education was among the top employers who posted in April 2020.
