Nicole Prothro is a May 2014 graduate of the BFA in Drama from Tisch School of the Arts. While she is primarily a singer and actress, she also works as an Administrative Assistant at BerchWood Partners.
What’s your favorite part of your work?
Making new discoveries about myself or a piece every time I practice or perform.
What does a typical day look like?
On a typical day, I go to work and audition on my lunch break and take either acting classes or voice lessons in the evening.
What classes or projects did you work on in school that helped prepare you for the work in your current position?
My acting classes, vocal performance classes and every show that I was in helped prepare me for the work I’m doing now and everything I hope to work on in the future.
Did you always know exactly what you wanted to do?
For the most part, I’ve always known. I grew up wanting to be a singer and as I learned more about other aspects of the industry, I was able to find a clearer path for the direction I want my career to go in.
What are some common misconceptions about your work?
One major misconception is that the learning stops after you’ve graduated and started working professionally.
